For the second time has the Champ been held in Ticino and for the second time Silvia Koch und Adi Wagner from Bern won the title!

The first three games were played saturday afternoon in the beautyful court of Garni Meridiana, on the "Lungolago di Ascona".
Sunday morning the last two in Locarno, Pza S. Antonio, side by side with other games like warhammer, magic, quoridor, rumis, and other of Sogni di Carta.
With 4 wins in 5 games, losing only to the strong rengo team composed by Dominik Mueller un Lorenz Trippel, Silvia und Adi defeated all other pairgo contestants of the tournament.

Some arrived on friday to enjoy the beauties of Ascona and Locarno. The mild temperature, evening music in bars and street. There were many opportunities to relax, sightseeing, byke tours, swim in the lake...

Thanks to the great Garni Meridiana, who let us play in his exclusive courtyard, and thanks to all the participants, particularly to the 5 women playing in 5 teams, who choosed to play in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Das Turnier war wundersch�n organisiert, es gab eine B�chervorstellung vom Brett & Stein Verlag, superfeine Sandwiches und ein friedliches Turnier-Lokal in dem man sehr gut denken konnte :)

S�bastien Ott ist Schweizer Meister 2009

Mit 5 Siegen und 2 Niederlagen gab es ein Unentschieden f�r den Schweizer Meister zwischen S�bastien Ott und S�bastien Koch, die direkte Begegnung konnte aber Ott f�r sich entscheiden und darum ist er neuer Schweizer Meister! Sieger des Turniers wurde Victor Bogdanov aus Petrozavodsk (Ru) mit 6 Siegen.

Swiss Federation Meeting (AGM)

The AGM voted for a longer term to wait for going to an international championship overseas. Now it's a 3 years sit-out again. The old rule concernig the rating - ranks above 5 kyu was confirmed, now it's possible to have one's rank adjusted trough a commitee if the rating is too slow or simply wrong. There will be a women championship & a team championship and we have a new president! It's Jean-Luc Luyet.
